Welcome to the very first SnaffleUp newsletter!
http://www.snaffleup.co.uk is a new online resource that gives people with unwanted but useful household items an opportunity to donate them to other people instead of throwing them away.
Thank you for registering! The site now has around 250 members and is growing quickly.
To encourage more members we need more items to be added to the SnaffleUp website. If you have registered but not added an item yet, have a think about something in the loft or garage that you’ve been meaning to take to the dump. Wouldn’t it be easier to add it to SnaffleUp and have someone collect the item from you? This would save petrol, time, help the environment and encourage more people to do the same.
We’ve added a map section for each item. This works by showing a small Google map of the area close to where the item can be found. It helps you decide if the item is conveniently located for collection. We are not giving out any address details.
Did you know you can set up email alerts to let you know when items you are interested in are added to the website? Once you are logged in click on ‘Alerts’ in your ‘mySnaffleUp’ menu.
Our user feedback section is working well. This allows you to vote on upcoming new features for the site. It’s easy to use – just point your Internet browser at http://feedback.snaffleup.co.uk. Either add your suggested new feature or vote on features other members have added. You don’t need to register or login to vote on a feature.
Over the next few weeks we’ll be contacting the press and telling them about the site.
We hope you are happy with the site so far. Don’t forget to add those unwanted items!
Many thanks,
Chris.
